Helena Bonham Carter is the face of Larkspur & Hawk’s 25th anniversary campaign

Helena Bonham Carter is stepping into a new role as jewellery ambassador for Larkspur & Hawk’s 25th anniversary campaign.

Titled “Once Upon A Time”, the campaign transforms Bonham Carter into a Georgian-inspired character, complete with pastel pink hair, to celebrate the brand’s 25-year legacy and its revival of 18th-century foil-backed jewellery.

The actress also appears alongside her daughter, Nell Burton, with ex-partner Tim Burton, in a series of portraits shot earlier this year in London.

“I love jewellery and how it can out survive us humans, carrying stories over the decades…and centuries,” Bonham Carter explains about taking part in the campaign. “I love how a piece can evoke a whole atmosphere, and new internal weather. I also basically love dressing up and make believe is what I do for a living, so when Emily [Satloff, the brand’s founder] asked if I’d be up for a commemorative photoshoot, I jumped at the chance of going full Georgian.”

The photoshoot took place at Home House, a Regency-era members’ club in central London. The images are a whimsical nod to the historical period and showcase Larkspur & Hawk’s modern interpretation of foil-backed jewels, which were historically used to enhance the colour and brilliance of gemstones in candlelight.

Bonham Carter’s soft pink hair references the pink foil in the brand’s jewellery, while her elegant Regency-inspired outfits were styled by Jo Hambro, known for her work with Elton John.

Throughout the portraits, Helena Bonham Carter and her daughter showcase pieces from Larkspur & Hawk’s new Palette capsule collection, including gemstone chandelier earrings and the Bella Graduated Rivère necklace, featuring large, foiled rose-cut gemstones in bold settings.

“The name rivière is particularly fortuitous as mum is French, and a river has a poetic symbolism of forever flowing, which seems right for an heirloom as it’s passed from mother to daughter,” Bonham Carter shares about her treasured necklace. “One day it will be on to my own daughter, Nell, if she doesn’t steal it before!”
