The apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree. At the recent premiere of Marty Supreme, Apple Martin turned heads by paying a stylish tribute to her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow. The 21-year-old revisited fashion history by wearing the exact vintage black Calvin Klein slip dress that Gwyneth famously debuted at the 1996 New York premiere of Emma.

The appearance marked a milestone for the family, as it was the first time Gwyneth Paltrow posed on a red carpet alongside both Apple and her son, Moses. Seeing Apple in the minimalist, form-fitting look was a full-circle moment; when Gwyneth first wore the dress, she was just 24 years old.
This fashion hand-me-down was years in the making. Gwyneth previously revealed to People magazine that she has been archiving her wardrobe long before her daughter was even born. “I have saved everything for her since 15 years before I had her. I save everything. Not everything, but every red-carpet look I have saved for her,” she explained.
Gwyneth Paltrow has always been vocal about her daughter’s innate sense of style, noting that Apple possesses a flair for beauty that surpasses her own. “She is glamorous in a way that I’m not. She’s very, very into makeup, which I’m not … She knows how to do a perfect winged eyeliner. She gave herself acrylic nails. She’s a beauty queen,” Paltrow gushed.
