Timothée Chalamet graces the December issue of Vogue Magazine

Timothée Chalamet became the talk of social media after appearing on the cover of Vogue’s December issue. The Wonka and Dune star posed for an out-of-this-world photoshoot captured by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz, embracing a cosmic aesthetic that instantly caught fans’ attention.

For the feature, Chalamet showcased a fresh buzz-cut hairstyle — a noticeable departure from his signature curls. He sported a crisp white turtleneck, denim pants adorned with floral embroidery, and a beige longline coat layered over black boots, creating a sleek yet futuristic look that perfectly matched the shoot’s celestial vibe.

To celebrate the release, the actor took to Instagram to thank the creative team and hint at his upcoming project, Marty Supreme.
“THANK U @VOGUE !!!!!! 3 PSYCHEDELIC DAYS IN MICHAEL HEIZER’S METAPHYSICAL CONSCIOUSNESS EXPANDING ‘THE CITY’ CONSIDER ME EXPANDED. Annie Leibowitz the [goat emoji]. SUPREME SEASON OTW. IN THE MEANTIME LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THExUNIVERSE AND protons,” he wrote.

While many fans flooded the comments with praise for Chalamet’s bold new look and his continued rise as a fashion icon, others were far less kind. Criticism quickly followed, with some calling the final cover “awkward” or even “one of Vogue’s worst ever.”

“omg what an awful cover,” one user complained, while another admitted, “Wow, that’s … a horrible cover but proud of you!” Others joked that the image looked “AI-generated,” with one fan teasing, “Looking at this cover and outfit, AI may not be a bad thing.”

On X (formerly Twitter), the backlash continued.
“This might actually be the worst cover in Vogue history,” one post read. Another added, “One of the worst covers I’ve ever seen. WTF is going on at Vogue? Who edited this mess?”

Despite the mixed reaction, this marks Chalamet’s second time gracing the cover of Vogue. His first was in 2022, when he became the first solo male cover star in British Vogue’s 106-year history — a groundbreaking moment for both the magazine and the actor.

During his new Vogue US interview, Timothée Chalamet kept things professional when asked about his relationship with Kylie Jenner, choosing not to comment.
“I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,” he replied calmly.

However, the 28-year-old actor did open up about the future and the possibility of fatherhood, admitting that it “could be on the radar.”
