Kim Cattrall has officially married Russell Thomas, 54, in a small and elegant ceremony held at Chelsea Old Town Hall.
In a twist that contrasts with her “Sex and the City” character Samantha — who once famously said, “I don’t understand why women are so obsessed with getting married” — the 69-year-old actress chose an intimate celebration attended by just a handful of close family and friends.
Described as “quiet” and “understated,” the ceremony reflected Cattrall’s taste for timeless style. She wore a chic Dior suit paired with Cornelia James gloves, an ensemble put together by longtime collaborator Patricia Field. Completing the look, she topped it off with a custom Philip Treacy hat. Thomas complemented her elegance with a tailored suit from Richard James.
After more than a decade together, the couple opted for a celebration centered entirely on their loved ones, People reported, sharing photos of the newlyweds beaming with joy.
Kim Cattrall and Russell Thomas first crossed paths in 2016, when she appeared on BBC’s Woman’s Hour. Their brief meeting soon turned into something more after Thomas continued to stay in touch.
Cattrall once shared that he followed her on X after the interview and sent her a direct message — a simple gesture that sparked their relationship.
The two have spoken openly about their happiness together. Cattrall has said she feels “very grateful” for the “lovely” bond they share. She recalled how Thomas later flew to Canada to spend time with her, despite how little they knew each other at the time.
“It was very brave of him because we didn’t really know each other other than having a few meals together,” she told People in 2020.
“But he came and we got along great.”
“And we’ve been together ever since!”
