Jeremy Allen White Channels Bruce Springsteen with 'Born to Run' Performance in Deliver Me From Nowhere Trailer

Let’s start with the obvious: Jeremy Allen White delivers a strikingly authentic portrayal of Bruce Springsteen — and does so while performing the iconic track “Born to Run”.

The newly released trailer for 20th Century Studios’ biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere gives audiences their first glimpse at the highly anticipated film, which explores the creation of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska. The album, known for its raw and haunting acoustic sound, emerged during a defining period in the musician’s life and holds a special place in the hearts of fans.

Director Scott Cooper, who adapted the screenplay from Warren Zanes’ book Deliver Me from Nowhere, shared in a statement:

“Creating Springsteen was an incredibly emotional experience — it gave me the chance to step into the heart of an artist I’ve admired for so long and to truly understand the blend of vulnerability and strength that fuels his music. It felt like traveling through layers of memory, myth, and truth. Most of all, it was an honor to bring that raw, emotional authenticity to the screen. The journey changed me, and I’m profoundly grateful to Bruce and Jon Landau for entrusting me with their story.”

Following the critical success of Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen stood on the brink of global stardom when he penned and recorded Nebraska — an album famously captured on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom.

In Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, Jeremy Allen White takes on the role of Springsteen, joined by a stellar cast: Jeremy Strong portrays Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager and trusted confidant; Paul Walter Hauser plays guitar tech Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham steps in as Bruce’s father, Doug; Odessa Young appears as love interest Faye; Gaby Hoffman plays his mother, Adele; Marc Maron takes on the role of producer Chuck Plotkin; and David Krumholtz portrays Columbia Records executive Al Teller.

The film hits theaters on October 24 and is produced by Scott Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber. Executive producers include Tracey Landon, Jon Vein, and Warren Zanes.
